- 3 spectra were measured at different locations and averaged + the raw spectra were normalized using two polynomial curves, for the pre-edge region (linear curve) and the post-edge region (polynomial order: 2) while the edge jump was scaled by a factor to give a jump of 1. These normalizations were performed with the software ATHENA from the IFEFFIT package (Ravel and Newville 2005).

- The resolution in the above table is the resolution given by the monochromator. The energy was calibrated by measuring the absorption edge of a reference: Fe metallic foil (first maximum of the derivative set at 7112 eV). The resolution of the spectrometer analyser was 0,365 eV (FWHM of the elastic peak).
Definition: incidence and emergence angles are positive with origin at nadir. Emergence angle in transmission is larger than 90° (=180°-i).
