- Y-adsorbed montmorillonite was prepared using 1 g of montmorillonite SWy-2 mixed with 0.087 g of Y(NO3)3ยท6H2O (Alfa Aesar) in MilliQ water. After stirring at room temperature for 4h, the resulting solution was centrifuged (2060 x g, 45min) and the solid the solid fraction was dispersed in 1 L of MilliQ water and stirred for 90 minutes at 700 rpm. The rinsed solid was separated by centrifugation at 2060 x g for 1h. Y-adsorbed montmorillonite was obtained after freeze-drying.
