Title
The librational region in the spectrum of amorphous solid water and ice I$_c$ between 10 and 140 K
Abstract
The librational region (1100-500 cm$^{-1}$) of the i.r. spectra of solid H$_2$O is shown to be strongly dependent on temperature and thermal history (annealing). The behaviour of peak frequency, band width and intensity of the librational absorption band upon variation of the temperature between 10 and 140 K is discussed in relation to the OH-stretching region of the spectrum and the structural changes of the solid H$_2$O.
