Step Chronology Date Type Process Changes #1 during layer formation 2014-07-30 layer formation The layer was produced by manual deposition of the icy spheres by sieving through a 400 µm sieve on the sample holder pre-cooled with liquid nitrogen, in a freezer. This sieving avoids the introduction of large agglomerates of icy spheres in the sample and allows the formation of a homogeneous layer of reproducible density.
