Powder obtained from a multi-step procedure involving : 1) the coprecipitation of cobalt iron oxide particles from Fe(II), Fe(III) and Co(II) salts in alkaline medium, followed by a reflux treatment in the presence of iron(III) nitrate; 2) the dispersion of the colloid into sol-gel silica and drying. Full details in publication. The Co/Fe atomic ratio is 0.011.
